Aug 21st - Finally A Few More Birds!

It's been a minute but today a few more birds were finally added to the count.  I realize it's still early but we'd like to see at least 100 by the end of the month.

Today:
Osprey - 1 (our 1200th since 2004!)
Northern Harrier - 1
American Kestrel - 1

Turkey Vulture - 2
Osprey - 1
Bald Eagle - 6
Northern Harrier - 1
Sharp-shinned Hawk - 0
Cooper's Hawk - 0
Northern Goshawk - 0
Red-shouldered Hawk - 0
Broad-winged Hawk - 6
Red-tailed Hawk - 1
Rough-legged Hawk - 0
Golden Eagle - 0
Amercian Kestrel - 14
Merlin - 1
Peregrine Falcon - 0
Total - 32

Birds:
Black-capped Chickadee - small group of 8-10 passing through bouncing from tree to tree.
Brown Thrasher
Cedar Waxwing - small groups continue to fly overhead.
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 2 in the shrubs along the edge of the bluffs.

Butterflies:
Cabbage White - abundant.
Monarch - Terry was able to tag another 5 individuals.

Mammals:
Eastern Cottontail - 2 out frolicking on the grass early this morning.
